Empowering Coastal Communities | Enhancing Maritime Skills | Protecting Biodiversity

Oceans Champions
The Oceans Champions Programme is a transformative initiative designed to empower coastal communities in KwaZulu-Natal.
Through communities of practice, accredited maritime and biodiversity training, and hands-on environmental initiatives, the programme equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and networks to sustainably manage marine resources while generating economic opportunities.
By linking training with community action and mentorship, the programme creates a ripple effect of positive social, environmental, and economic impact across coastal areas.
